Our Founder

Varnee Patten-Ramjeeawon, Barrister at Law

Varnee Patten-Ramjeeawon holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Mauritius and a Master of Laws (LLM) with specialisation in Commercial and Corporate Law from the University of London. Additionally, she has a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Laws from the University of London.

Admitted to the High Court of Auckland, New Zealand, as Solicitor and Barrister, in 2021 and as Barrister at Law in Mauritius in 2024, Varnee has also been teaching law at tertiary level for ICSA/CGI course and for LLB and LLM Programmes for over a decade.

With a diverse professional background, Varnee has served in various key roles, including Director of Legal Services, Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Reporting Officer, and Data Protection Officer. She has been continuously engaged in FATCA and CRS projects across the financial services industry and has actively participated in significant regulatory and compliance initiatives, including the 2nd round of Mutual Evaluation of Mauritius by the ESSAMLG and the National Risk Assessment program. She has also participated and collaborated with the Data Protection office of Mauritius on Benchmarking visit by Uganda's Parliamentary Committee on the Data Protection and GDPR Matters in May 2018.

With a comprehensive understanding of legal, corporate, and compliance frameworks, Varnee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, delivering practical solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients.
